Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. She grew up listening to traditional, old boleros as well as the traditional ranchero, romantic, and ballads of romance. Ana loves tangos as well as opera and other dramatic styles. She started singing and studying music with her mother, before beginning her vocal training at the age of sixteen with world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continue to provide her with music instruction. While a young student and professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choruses from Guadalajara and Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. as a music teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in many projects in the community due to her enthusiasm as well as a love of music. Ana is also a previous member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a pleasure to have being able to share her passion and appreciation for the traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation in order to keep this tradition of music lively and alive.Viva Mexico!
